 STAKEHOLDERS CALLS FOR UNITY ACROSS OKE OGUN REGION

The people of Oke Ogun area have been charged to unite and see themselves as one entity towards accomplishing their desired goals in future.

These words of admonition were part of comments made by various guests who spoke at the 2022 Okaka Day Celebration.

Former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan, Member, House of Representatives, representing Iseyin Itesiwaju Kajola and Iwajowa Constituency Hon Shina Abiola Peller and a former Chairman Iseyin Local Governmen Hon Saheed Adejare Alaran who represented Iseyin born legal luminary Barrister Ahmed Raji (SAN) among others emphasized the need for unity in the region.

According to Engr Rauf Olaniyan and Hon Shina Peller,it is high time the people of Oke Ogun area spoke with one voice in actualizing their nurtured dreams.

In their views,Unity is a panacea for meaningful development as every development is embedded in oneness.

They admonished the government to win the heart of the people of oke ogun through principle of fairness, equity and justice.

While speaking on the philanthropic gesture of Barr Ahmed Raji to the people of oke ogun,Hon Saheed Alaran said the legal luminary in his magnanimity appreciated God's kindness in his life and as such deem it fit, to pay back to the community that brought him to the lime light.

He stressed further that government cannot do it alone and as such charged communities to consolidate government,s effort thought community development.

While speaking on behalf of Olokaka of Okaka land, Chairman Okaka Community Development Union Mr Rashid Ogundele Adelani commended the state government for the social amenities in the state and charged the government to assist in the rehabilitation of Ipapo-Okaka-Baasi road to ease vehicular movement.

In his reaction, Chairman Planning Committee,2022 Okaka Day,Mr Bayo Adediran admonished Okaka indigenes home and abroad to contribute to the development of their ancient town.

The epoch event which was also geared towards raising funds for the completion of Okaka ultra modern hall,was graced by traditional rulers, political stalwarts, religious bodies, government functionaries and eminent personalities from all walks of life.
