The memorable celebration of the ILERO DAY of which notable personalities as emphasize on the yearning and aspirants of the people of Oke Ogun area has been well captured in the 2023 budget for the overall development of the region.

Deputy Governor of Oyo state

This assurance was part of speech delivered by Oyo state Deputy Governor, Barrister Bayo Lawal who represented the State Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde at the 2022 Ilero Day Celebration.

The Deputy Governor noted that the Seyi Makinde led administration since inception has been running an inclusive government with people oriented programmes for the overall development of the state.

He disclosed that rehabilitation work has commenced on Alaga-Ilero-Ayegun road.

The Deputy Governor who emphasized that several developmental projects proposed for oke ogun region have been captured in the 2023 budget, urged the people of the area to support the government of the day in it's programmes.

Earlier in his remark, the Okere of Saki Oba Khalid Oyeniyi Olabisi Oyedepo the third appealed to the state governor to approve the rehabilitation of Alaga-Iwere le-Ijio road and renovation of hospitals.

The Elero of Ilero Oba Wasiu Oyedele Saka Olokolonigi, Chairman Ilero Development Council Prof Oladimeji Oladepo and Chairman Ilero Day Central Planning Committee Thomas Olabode Oladepo while welcoming the guests urged all indigines in diaspora and other investors to take due advantage of human and natural resources abound in the town through the establishment of industry.

They also admonshed illustrious Ilero indigines home and abroad to award scholarship and assist artisans for rapid development of the town.

The Oyo State Iyaloja in general Chief Mrs Azeezat Nurudeen Abeo oosa, Alhaja Fatima Omolara and others in their goodwill messages rejoiced with the people of Ilero on the historic occasion and urged them to sustain the tempo to achieve development of purpose.

 Alhaji Abu Adejare Gbadamosi an indigine of Ilero Prominent son of the land epoch the event which reflected the name ile ero as home of hospitality was witnessed by several indigines and friends of the town.
